Got any experienced, problems, compare with other wireless ISP or other topic of Sun Broadband Wireless. Post it here!
Btw, heres my connection since i can only recieve hsdpa, no 3G yet in my area.

Location: Kalawaan Sur Pasig.

Problems i got:
1. High ping.
2. Unstable connection. Disconnect and can degrade down to 100kbps.
3. Confuse! I got blue light, dark blue to be exact when my modem is on standby. Why? Cause when it lights blue, mean theres a 3.5G signal somewhere! Hhmm...

thanks for the post armons..

if you are getting hsdpa it means you are now on 3.5G... which is part of the 3G WCDMA.

The only difference is that HSDPA allow to burst the speed more than 384kbps that is up to 7.2mbps or 14.4mbps depending on the provider networks...

the 3G WCDMA is a broadband wireless mobile that can get up to 384 only.

Base on your screen shot of speed you are now getting 3G.. or better an hsdpa 3.5G since its goes to 600kbps Download and 100kbps upload...

well, as those technician said to me,
"You are in the colored pink area, not sure if youve got 3G signal"

Still, my connection is unstable!
High ping! Not good for gamers like me.
Guess gonna be back to my smartbroken.

high ping is part of the 3G... 200-300ms would be normal already...for internal networks and would go as high as 400-500 on international sites...

in short, online games, voip and other real time application will not be that suitable for 3G connection...

they might be on the DSL ... digitelone ... if they are getting only 70ms... for now 3G will be good for downloading and browsing at high speed  Smiley

punta kau dito para matulungan ko kau sa area of coverage ng sun broadband

http://sunbroadbandwireless.webs.com/

example dito ay makati ayala area at marami pang business centers at malalaking community areas.

end ng dec 2008 ay 600 3G site pa lang ang installed sa Metro Manila, by end ng feb 2009 1,000 3G sites na.

sa map namin ay may kulay ang area. let say sa area nyo ay kulay green na, that means full signal ng HSDPA or WCDMA.

kung kulay pink naman ay GPRS or EDGE pa lang ang signal kasi nga phase 2 ito ng installation. magiging green na by feb.

Sun has just released a Sun broadband Wireless prepaid.

> Getting the unit would cost the consumer the same price as the easy broadband plan
> its prepaid so you only load it when you need it.
> Same as Smart’s offer of 10.00 per 30 minutes.
> However, load have validity periods. Like the 10.00 load will only last for 2 hours.
> They have a new unit, the same as the Smart Bro Plugit and not the original one like the Globe Visibility.

mga sir, ask ko lang kung naencounter nyo ba yung after 30 mins na nakakonek kayo biglang drop yung download speed sa 30kbps? kc ako yung naeencounter ko ngaun,

i also encounter the same problem as labohd... ever since I got this, siguro max ko lang around 900kbps... parang 1 time lang yun.. never experienced their promise of 2 MBps speed.. consistent lang na 30kbps...

kahit mag speedtest.net, 2wire, or mcafee internet speed test... nag-flat out sya 30kbps...

is there a workaround para i-discontinue ang services nila lalo na may 2yr lockup? sorry to say, but ayoko na kasi magpaloko sa kanila e...

May I ask... Is USB Sun Wireless Broadband compatible with Windows 7 operating system?.. cause my cousin applied.. But since the day she started using the SWB (Sun Wireless Broadband).. Her laptop keeps on freezing.. cursor won't move.. no keyboard input.. display freezes... but when she's using a wi-fi connection provided by me... not a usb modem/wireless broadband.. the laptop doesn't hang. A help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance. Smiley
