yes it is from globe? they use cdma and depends on cell site but different bandwidth than that of the cellphones. i dont think they already have a website specifically for Speak and surf, sa flyers kasi www.globelines.com.ph nakalagay pero no infos re speak and surf. it includes a wireless phone nga pala. broadband speed is 256kbps. minsan pag nagt-test ako ng speed lagpas ng 256 ewan ko kung accurate ung mga speedtest na site like mytest, pldtdsl at 2wires. sabi i can bring the modem anywhere as long as aabot yung signal eh makakaconnect ako same with the phone. ngayon i tested the speed DL is: 110 kbps UL is: 57 kbps try to search sa google na lng po for other forums re speak and surf kasi di ko mahanap yung nagpost picture ng flyers eh. thanx

if theres a provission for an external antenna with the axesstel modem you are using, then thats good news, adding an external antenna is feasible but if none, then there a possibility of voiding the warranty if you try to improvise an external antenna.

the cdma 1xEV-DO HSW modem actually have 2 antenna conector on each side (see picture and other details here: http://www.axesstel.com/fixed/broadband_evdo_modem.php?id=1) (http://www.axesstel.com/fixed/broadband_evdo_modem.php?id=1))

bakit po walang globe speak and surf na topic sa wireless internet? anyway i just checked my speed now. 869kbps down 59kbps up. dont know how accurate the speedtest site, but if this is true it is really way to far from the advertised speed of 256 kbps only. it even exceeded our pldt connection that was supposed to be 2.2mbps but we only get 500-700kbps speed for a 3k monthly subscription. i seen antennas that will stick on the back of your screen and connect to a mini pci. very common connection i'm sure there are pigtails out for them but it might look a little dodgie the connection hanging out
